On December 13, 2013, the ninth Consultation at the Department and Bureau Level of the Foreign Ministries of China, Mongolia and Russia was held in Beijing. Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Luo Zhaohui, Director of the Department of Neighboring Countries of the Mongolian Foreign Ministry Tomorkhulegiin Togsbilguun, and Director of the First Asia Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry A.B.Kulik co-chaired the Consultation. The three sides had extensive and in-depth exchanges of views on the situations of the Asia-Pacific region, bilateral relations among the three sides, progress in trilateral cooperations and issues of common concern.

The three sides unanimously agreed that as major countries in the region, China, Mongolia and Russia should play important roles in the promotion of peace, stability and prosperous development in the region and the world at large.

The three sides pointed out that there are no pending political issues and problems left over from history among the three countries. The three sides will continue to offer each other firm support on issues of core interests and major concerns involving each other's sovereignty, security and development.

The three sides stressed that they will continue to develop pragmatic cooperation and exchanges in all fields such as economy and trade and people-to-people and culture, and continue to push the strategic partnership among the three countries to new heights.

The three sides decided to put the interconnection construction as a priority in the trilateral pragmatic cooperation in economy and trade, and continue to carry out cooperation in fields such as mineral resources development, cross-border transportation, infrastructure construction, tourism and environmental protection.

The next Consultation will be held in Mongolia in 2014.
