On November 27, 2012, Mr. Luo Zhaohui, Director-General of Asian Affairs Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the P. R. China held China-India diplomatic consultations with his counterpart Mr. Gautam Bambawale, Joint Secretary of East Asia Division of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in New Delhi. Both sides fully affirmed the achievements of Year of China-India Friendship and Cooperation 2012, and had an in-depth exchange of views on China-India relations and international and regional issues of common interest. The Indian Foreign Secretary Mr. Ranjan Mathai also met with Mr. Luo Zhaohui.
