On April 18, 2012, Assistant Foreign Minister Zhang Ming held talks with Youssef Amrani, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Morocco.

Zhang said that China and Morocco are traditional friends. Maintaining the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations is in line with the common interests of both sides. China is willing to work together with Morocco to uplift the bilateral friendly cooperative relations to a new level. Youssef Amrani said that the bilateral relations between Morocco and China have entered a new stage of development. Morocco expects to further upgrade the level of bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation with China in various fields.

The two sides also exchanged views on the West Sahara issue and other international and regional issues of common concern.
