On October 24, 2023, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi attended the opening ceremony of the International Symposium to Commemorate the 10th Anniversary of China's Principle of Amity, Sincerity, Mutual Benefit and Inclusiveness in Neighborhood Diplomacy in Beijing.

Wang Yi said, "sincerity" in the Principle of Amity, Sincerity, Mutual Benefit and Inclusiveness is how we treat others, and has taken our partnerships to new heights. In diplomatic engagement, China always values mutuality and sincerity. In the past decade, honoring promises and equality, China has forged extensive strategic and cooperative partnerships with neighboring countries, and made solid efforts with ASEAN countries, Central Asia and the Lancang-Mekong countries to build communities with a shared future. Guided by the new vision of security and as the first ASEAN dialogue partner to sign the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation, China has joined efforts with regional countries to establish multidimensional mechanisms for security dialogue and cooperation. China is committed to enhancing mutual understanding and trust with regional countries through sincere communication, to settling differences through dialogue and consultation, and to safeguarding common security of the region through concrete actions.
