Eli Cohen gave an update on Israel's position on the Palestine-Israel conflict and its security concerns.

Wang Yi said that the current Palestine-Israel conflict has caused grave concern to the whole world, and presents a crucial choice between war and peace. China is deeply worried about the continued escalation of the conflict and the exacerbation of the situation, and is deeply saddened by the large number of civilian casualties caused by the conflict. China condemns all acts that harm civilians, and opposes any moves in violation of international law. All countries have the right to self-defense, but it is important to observe international humanitarian law and protect civilians. Wang Yi stressed that the hard lessons of the recurring Palestine-Israel conflicts fully demonstrate that only by adhering to common security can sustainable security be achieved, and only by adhering to a political settlement can Israel's reasonable security concerns be fully resolved. The two-state solution is an international consensus.
