Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao Attends Irish National Day Reception

On March 17, 2014, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao attended upon invitation the Irish National Day Reception held by the Embassy of Ireland in China. He met with Irish Minister Brendan Howlin of the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, who made a special trip to China to attend the Irish national celebration activities. Wang said that China is comprehensively deepening the reform and expanding the opening-up, and hopes that both countries seize opportunities to constantly enrich the substance of the mutually beneficial strategic partnership between the two countries. Howlin said that Ireland regards China as an important and intimate cooperative partner, and is willing to continue the expansion of cooperation and communication with China in various fields and push for sustainable and benign development of the bilateral relationship.
