On March 10, 2014, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming held a group meeting with 20 diplomatic envoys of Arab states to China and the Director of the Arab League Representative Office in China.

Zhang Ming briefed the envoys on China's conception of holding the sixth Ministerial Conference of China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) in China. He extended his gratitude to the Arab envoys for the positive contributions they have made to promoting the development of China-Arab relations, and expressed the hope that the two sides make joint efforts to ensure the success of the sixth Ministerial Conference of the "Forum", so as to push China-Arab relations to score greater development.

On behalf of the envoys, Abdullah Saleh Al Saadi, Omani Ambassador to China and Head of the Diplomatic Mission of Arab countries in China, spoke on behalf of the envoys. He highly praised the achievements of China-Arab relations in various fields, and expressed their willingness to work with the Chinese side to ensure the success of the sixth Ministerial Conference and to promote the Arab-China strategic cooperative partnership to a higher level.
