At noon on March 3, 2014, Foreign Minister Wang Yi held telephone talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Lavrov briefed Russia's stance and view on the current situation in Ukraine. Both sides had an in-depth exchange of views on the issue. The two sides believed that properly handling the Ukrainian crisis is very important to safeguarding regional peace and stability.
