Wang Yi Meets with Klaus Schwab, Chairman of the World Economic Forum in Davos

  On January 24, 2014, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met in Davos with Klaus Schwab, Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF).

  Wang Yi said,the Chinese side attaches great importance to the WEF in Davos. Premier Li Keqiang sent a special message to this year's WEF annual meeting which you can find on the official website of WEF. China’s exchanges and cooperation with the WEF has accompanied the process of China’s reform and opening-up. From this year on, China will enter a new stage of reform and opening-up, which will be of great impact both on China and the world. Hope that the WEF in Davos will always keep attention on and support the process of China’s reform and opening-up, and present a true China to the world through the Forum.

  Schwab expressed that the WEF has established long-term friendly relations of exchanges and cooperation with China. The WEF has already won 200 thousand fans in China by now. He thanked the Chinese government for its consistent attention and support to the WEF, and showed the willingness to continue the WEF’s active participation in the process of China’s reform and opening-up and conduct closer cooperation with China.
