Li Keqiang Holds Talks with Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich of the Republic of Belarus, Stressing to Deepen Cooperation and Strengthen Coordination to Promote China-Belarus Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Development

  In the afternoon of January 20, 2014, Premier Li Keqiang held talks with Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich of the Republic of Belarus at the Great Hall of the People,.

  Li Keqiang said, China and Belarus are good friends and good partners. President Xi Jinping and President Alexander Lukashenko jointly announced the establishment of the comprehensive strategic partnership in July last year. The two sides need to take this as an opportunity to strengthen exchange and support each other in political field, to broaden areas and uplift quality in cooperation, and to strengthen communications and coordination in international affairs, in order to push forward common development and prosperity of the two countries.

  Li Keqiang pointed out, China and Belarus will jointly announce and implement the Development Plan for China-Belarus Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, and new progresses in bilateral practical cooperation will surely come out.

  First, to improve cooperative mechanism. Establish the Vice-Prime-Ministerial inter-governmental cooperation committee between China and Belarus, to strengthen overall planning and guidance for bilateral cooperation.

  Second, to promote cooperation in major projects and transportation. Enlarge and strengthen China-Belarus industrial park and set it up as an example. Establish joint ventures and jointly develop the third-party market. Carry out cooperation in international transportation, logistics transportation, transportation infrastructure, and other fields.

  Third, to innovate high-tech cooperative mode. Push forward in-depth cooperation in laser, nanotechnology, biology, microelectronic technology, and other fields with respective advantages, and to jointly uplift scien-tech strength and international competitiveness of the two countries.

  Fourth, to strengthen people-to-people, cultural and local exchanges. Expand education cooperation, keep close contacts between the youth, and carry out various forms of regional and non-governmental exchanges to further deepen the understanding and friendship between the two peoples.

  Mikhail Myasnikovich expressed that Belarus speaks highly of China's remarkable achievements in economic and social development. Belarus-China friendly cooperation enjoys a solid foundation, and both sides should keep on strengthening the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership. Belarus is willing to expand investment and high-tech cooperation with China, to advance the construction of Belarus-China industrial park, to strengthen cooperation in the field of logistics transportation, and to jointly promote the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt so as to bring bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation to a new high. Belarus is willing to create favorable conditions for Chinese companies to invest and do business in Belarus.

  Following their talks, Li Keqiang and Mikhail Myasnikovich jointly witnessed the signing of the Development Plan for China-Belarus Comprehensive Strategic Partnership from 2014 to 2018, and other bilateral cooperative documents.

  Prior to the talks, Li Keqiang held a welcoming ceremony for Mikhail Myasnikovich at the North Hall of the Great Hall of the People. Liu Xiaofeng, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and others were present.
