Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Meets with Wang Yi

On December 25, 2013, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, met in Riyadh with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Salman bin Abdulaziz expressed, Saudi Arabia-China relations are based on extensive common interests. Saudi Arabia and China strengthening cooperation is conducive to the two countries and to the development of Asia and of the world as well. Saudi Arabia will earnestly implement the requirements raised by King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and take developing strategic cooperation with China as the priority for the foreign relations. Saudi Arabia is ready to strengthen exchanges between the governments of the two countries, to attract more Chinese enterprises to invest and develop their business in Saudi Arabia and supports GCC-China cooperation.

Wang Yi expressed, China views Saudi Arabia as an important strategic partner in the Middle East region and highly values all-dimensional cooperation with Saudi Arabia. China is ready to work with Saudi Arabia to tap complementary advantages in the process of accelerating opening up to the west so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. China is ready to see Saudi Arabia exerting more positive influence in regional affairs. China hopes to work with Saudi Arabia to promote GCC-China cooperation.
