On February 29, 2012, Chinese Special Envoy to the China-Pacific Islands Forum Dialogue Li Qiangmin, at request, met with Director of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme David Sheppard who was in Beijing attending an international conference. The two sides exchanged views on the relations between China and the Pacific Regional Environment Programme and the bilateral cooperation on climate change.
