Important Notice on Fingerprint Collection of Visa Applicants by the Chinese Embassy in the Czech Republic

According to relevant Chinese laws and regulations and international common practice, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China will, starting from 18 October 2019, entrust the Chinese Visa Application Service Center to collect the ten fingerprints of all visa applicants including Czech citizens.

The following categories of applicants are exempt from the aforementioned requirement:

1.Applicants under the age of 14 or over the age of 70;

2.Applicants travelling with diplomatic passports, applicants travelling with service passports as members of a delegation led by a Czech official at or above deputy-ministerial level at the invitation of the Chinese central government, or applicants with service passports on long-term assignment to China;

3.Applicants who are applying for a new Chinese visa and have already been fingerprinted during a Chinese visa application within the last five years at the same Chinese Embassy or Chinese Visa Application Service Center using the same passport;

4.Applicants who lost all ten fingerprints or fingerprint collection is physically impossible.

Please be noted that applicants shall provide their own fingerprints in person at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center. Applicants who forge fingerprints or use other people’s fingerprints will be denied entry to China and shall bear all the consequences themselves. Applicants are required to make an appointment and fill the application forms online at the official website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Centers (www.visaforchina.org) in advance.
